Weekly Song Post-Covers )

Beth Orton-Ooh Child-
This song always comforted me when I was sad or down. Also, I really love Beth Orton's voice. It's like someone singing a lullaby to your heart and telling you things will get better, that they won't always be bad.
Natalie Merchant-Gulf of Araby.
I first heard this song years ago on one of NPR'S programs. It's so sad yet it's an epic tale and I love epic tales in songs.
Bela Fleck-Moonlight Sonata.
I heard this on Radio Paradise and immediately thought 'I have to know who did this." Bela Fleck is a virtuoso banjo player and he really makes this lovely piece his own.
Built to Spill-Linus and Lucy.
I've always loved the Peanuts theme song. Whenever I hear it it makes me happy. This is a very punk/ska sort of sound to the song and really makes it fun.
Chris and Meredith Thompson-The Mountain.
I didn't think I could love this Dave and Tracy song anymore. I was wrong. The harmonies will reach your heart and make an already amazing song just absolutely heartbreaking and one you won't forget.

As always, please tell me what you take and enjoy.
