Things learned from this weekend:
1)Neither Jess nor I are ever doing pot again. We both tried it for the first time and, wow, so never again. We were both curious and we both kind of had shitty experiences and now our curiosity is satisfied.
2)Not rowing a boat for many years does not mean you will be good at it once you try rowing it again. You will go in circles, you will almost fall out when you try to climb out, you will rock the boat when you switch positions, and those on cute little paddle boats will pass you and laugh at you. Or at least be a hell of a lot better at it.
3)When you are on the NY-PA border but the lake house is in PA and you aren't planning to end up in NY, somehow ending up in NY anyway is really not the goal. I'm sure Vestal and Binghampton have many lovely qualities but I didn't plan to find them out this weekend.
4)I have a really lovely, amazing, kind girlfriend and I'm so, so happy that she's in my life. We just fit together really well and the more time we spend together and talking, the better it gets.
