Today I did something perhaps small but which meant a lot to me. I met a woman for tea today in Center City and did not treat it as an intense situation/possible date. Instead, I spent a pleasant hour discussing a variety of topics. I asked her at the end if she would like to get together again and she said she would like that.
Perhaps small like I said but also huge in its implications. If I don't get nervous, if I don't treat every situation where if I don't do x, y, and z and try so hard to put myself across, things can go well. I am much more likely to have better relationships with people and I can also take the time to see what the situation is like and adjust myself accordingly.
The slow but sure philosophy seems to work well for me. It can be frustrating but small events, small steps can often lead to bigger steps and to change.
That is a very good thing.
